Physical Education Classes for the Homeschool

Public schools have physical education classes that get the students moving and teach them basic physical skills. Their athletic teams have access to before, during, and after school workouts. Just because we homeschool doesn’t mean that we can’t provide our students the same things.

Equipment Based Workouts

Find workouts built around basic gym equipment. For these you will need access to a rack, bench, and some weight of some type.

Minimal Equipment Workouts

These workouts combine calisthenics and commonly found weights to give a workout without the equipment.

    High Intensity Day Get loose then Repeat this 4 times: 50 jump rope reps 15 Burpees 5 (30) yard sprints. 20 walking lunges

    Warmup: Jog 1/4 Mile 20 push ups Strength: Shoulder press-work to 8-10 reps Workout: 3 rounds of 10 burpees/20 air squats/30 jump rope reps

  • 1.13.26

    Warmup: Light Jog: 400 yards or 3 minutes Start with agility ladder work for 5 minutes Then sprints for 6 minutes. 30 sec sprint 90 sec recovery. Repeat this until you’re satisfied with your level of workout.
