Some commonly used phrases/terms
5rm: This is a weight that you can perform for 5 reps. For our purposes, “maxing out” with one single rep of the maximum amount of weight you can handle is not ideal. We want to work with a weight that we can move for 5 reps. This weight will obviously be lower than what a 1rm would be, but is more controllable and serves more utility in our ability to measure our progress.
